Collegiate Health Service Corps

Collegiate Health Service Corps.  Club is community –service based club that brings awareness on health issues, disease preventions, and ways to access healthcare to the underserved populations. The club tries to reach out to the community in two ways, through weekly volunteering in different sites, like providing health education at elementary schools, and by hosting or being apart of large scale events such the homeless connect, migrant farm clinic, film screening and much more.

The Inter-Residence Hall Association, also known as IRHA, is an organization made up by and works for the resident population of Western Connecticut State University. The group puts on programs and activities throughout the year the resident of all six residence halls enjoy including Colonial Wars, which is huge competition between the halls.

The Ives Concert Flutists is a club for flutists and flute enthusiasts of any level. This group is comprised of performers, musicians, and future educators of America, united by their love of flute playing. This group features all types of flutes in a variety of music styles. In an attempt to raise music awareness across the state, Ives Concert Flutists perform and fundraise in many different venues outside of the university. Through extreme dedication to music, Ives Concert Flutists are proud to represent the WCSU community.

The NSCS is the only honor society to recognize outstanding academic achievement among first- and second-year college students. Psi Chi
Psi Chi is the National Honor Society for Psychology students. Only students majoring or minoring in psychology are eligible for membership, and each applicant must meet high standards of scholastic excellence. Psi Chi members participate in an official induction ceremony and are recipients of Psi Chi National Publications. Activities of Psi Chi have included tutoring services, field trips, conferences, and the scheduling of guest speakers.
